Typical DMIT test price in India
There is no fixed national price for a DMIT test. Each centre sets its own fee based on the report it uses, the time spent on counselling and its local market. Based on publicly listed fees, most families pay somewhere between ₹3,000 and ₹8,000, with premium packages in large cities sometimes going higher.
| Level | What you usually get | Where it sits in the price range |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Short report (around 9 pages) — intelligences, learning style, basic personality | Lower end |
| Standard | Mid-length report (17–25 pages) with DISC profile, brain dominance and subject guidance, plus counselling | Middle of the range |
| Premium | Detailed report (up to 46 pages) with career options, Holland theory and brain lobes, plus counselling for student and parents | Upper end |
Why DMIT test fees differ between centres
- Report depth — a 46-page report covers far more than a 9-page summary.
- Counselling time — a proper session (often with the child and then the parents) takes time and skill, and is the most valuable part of the test.
- Counsellor experience — certified, experienced counsellors usually charge more than new centres.
- City — metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune tend to be at the higher end.
- Software quality — centres using arch-based software with expert pattern coding produce more detailed reports.
- Online vs in-person — online tests can cost less, but scan quality must be good.
What should be included in the price?
Before you pay, ask whether the fee includes:
- Scanning of all ten fingerprints (not just thumbs)
- A printed or PDF report in your preferred language
- A one-to-one counselling session to explain the results
- Time with parents for children's tests
- A follow-up session or the option to ask questions later
Is a very cheap DMIT test worth it?
Very low prices usually mean something has been cut. Common warning signs include reports generated without any counselling, only a few fingers scanned, generic reports that look the same for everyone, and "free" tests used to push expensive courses. A DMIT test is only as useful as the scan quality, the software and the counsellor who explains it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cost of a DMIT test in India?
Most DMIT tests in India cost about ₹3,000 to ₹8,000, depending on the report level, counselling included, the centre's experience and the city.
Why is the DMIT test price different in every city?
Each centre sets its own fee. Rent, counsellor experience and local demand make tests in metro cities tend to cost more than in smaller towns.
Is an online DMIT test cheaper?
It can be, because there's no centre visit. Make sure the fingerprint images are clear and that a counsellor still explains your report.
Is counselling included in the DMIT test fee?
It should be. Counselling is the most important part of a DMIT test — always confirm it's included before paying.
